What this tool does
Object Cleanup helps remove visual distractions from photos you own: small objects, text, stickers, marks, and clutter. It includes brush selection, preview, refine, and export workflows.
Best for
- Cleaning product photos you own.
- Removing a distracting object from a personal photo.
- Tidying screenshots or social images you created.
- Removing text or stickers from images you have permission to edit.
Responsible limitations
Do not use object removal to infringe copyright, remove ownership marks from content you do not control, or misrepresent an image. Results also vary with background complexity, shadows, reflections, and object size.

FAQ
Can it remove text from photos? +
Yes, when you own or have permission to edit the photo.
Is this a watermark remover? +
Object Cleanup is framed for responsible photo cleanup, not for removing ownership marks from content you do not have rights to use.
What works best? +
Small objects on simple backgrounds usually produce the cleanest results.
Does it preserve full resolution? +
Full-resolution export is part of the Pro value proposition.

Frequently asked questions
Will Object Cleanup work for photos I do not own?
Object Cleanup is intended for photos you own or have rights to edit — your own family pictures, real estate photos, vacation shots. Removing watermarks from copyrighted images is not the intended use; the App Store metadata is framed accordingly.
How does this compare to iOS 18 Clean Up?
iOS 18.1+ has built-in Clean Up for subject removal, but it cannot batch process, cannot brush-refine for tricky edges, and does not work on photos older than iOS 18.1 if Apple Intelligence is unavailable. Object Cleanup handles those gaps.
Is the processing on-device?
Yes. Object Cleanup uses iOS Vision for subject detection and a bundled Core ML inpainting model. Photos never upload.
What is the typical removal time?
1–3 seconds per region on iPhone 14 and newer. Older devices use a lighter algorithm with 3–8 second processing.
